Open since 1973, Tides Tavern is the unofficial heart of Gig Harbor's social scene. The 100% over-water deck looks straight across the harbor at Mt Rainier on clear days. Menu is classic American: fish & chips with locally-caught cod, burgers, fish tacos, generous salads. Boats can tie up at the dock for direct access. Cash bar, no reservations — wait can hit 90 min on summer Saturdays. Family-friendly until 9pm, 21+ after.
