Harbor History Museum
Smithsonian-affiliate museum tracing the maritime, fishing, and Native heritage of the Gig Harbor peninsula.
Harbor History Museum is a Smithsonian-affiliate institution that tells the story of the Gig Harbor peninsula across three threads: the maritime fishing fleet (with the restored 65-foot purse seiner Shenandoah), the indigenous Twana and S'Klallam peoples, and the early-20th-century European settlers. Hands-on exhibits, a 1893 one-room schoolhouse, and a working boat shed make it a 1.5-2 hour visit. Adults $7, kids under 12 free.
